I am really feeling tired and groggy today. Perhaps because of a tiring outing held yesterday. I'm so not in the mood to write today but I really want to rant about the band outing. So yeah, here goes nothing.
The [supposed-to-be] DLMO outing was scheduled yesterday. However, very few (or maybe none) of the majorettes were informed. So in the end, it was just a band outing. We agreed to meet at Paseo at 7:00 at the most. I left home early because I planned to drop by McDonald's (but I ended up at Jollibee) to buy some breakfast and lunch. I passed by the intersection and saw that there were already many people outside Paseo. I got really excited because there were so many of us going. But when I got to Paseo, I saw that the "many people" I saw earlier were the CAT officers. I saw only a few band mates. And the look on their faces were like "OMG. Baka kami lang ang magdidgdi. Hain na daw si iba?" Awww. Poor them. But we still waited. And waited. And waited even more. But at 7:00 there were just six of us (surprise.surprise.) We still decided to wait a little bit longer. What do you expect anyway, that we'd all be on time? That is so not DLMO-ic. Then Joeric texted me: "ui banda.naghahalat na kami saindo.hain na kamo?" Oh yeah? Kapal mu, kami ang naghahalat saimo. haha. A little later, I received another text message from him saying "ui.nakua c wallet q.tinangay." I asked where he was and if he's already riding on his way to Paseo, knowing that he'd be coming from the bus terminal. He didn't reply then. Moments later, one of my band mates told us that Joeric's on the block already. And when I stood to see where he is, he got to us already. All of us started firing questions about how he lost his wallet. And he answered us in much detail, he even reenacted the scene. Aww. I really feel sorry for him. He said he had P300 in his wallet and he lost it. He was really upset, we could tell, but he laughed it off (as usual). After years of waiting, we finally decided to board a jeepney, with only ten of us. There were Nica, Bert, Denise, Marion, Joeric, Jowet, Ate Lauren, Ate Kamil and me. Gosh, what ever happened to the other fifty?! When we were about to go in the jeepney, someone (I forgot who) suggested to just go to Peñafrancia instead of Casa Ofelia. I was actually against it but I think most favored the idea so I kept my mouth shut (Poor me). I expected the ride to be a long one because, well, rides to Carolina are quite long. Joeric kept commenting on how fast the jeepney goes, but I shrugged it off because I rode on fast jeepneys every time I went to Carolina so i guessed that was just normal, it really felt very normal. But it seems like we got to Casa Ofelia at half the time I felt it would take. Dunno. I guess time does fly when you're having fun. Such a cliche. But I guess it's really real.=]]
We spent a long time at the entrance. The boys left us (the girls) to do all the counting and paying. Hmpf. We decided not to rent a cottage since we hadn't brought extra moolah. Nica found some good tables and benches for us to put our things on. By the time we managed to arrange our bags, put on sunscreen and things, Jowett and Joeric are already soaking wet (excited eh). We went to the 5ft pool (it's the deepest in the resort), I was afraid I wouldn't make it alive there, last time I was there (four years ago) I only got to the 4ft (or was it 3ft?) pool and hung by the sides on the 5ft pool. Thankfully this time I didn't do either. Talk about growing. Haha! Anyways, about an hour later, the water pumps on the slides were opened allowing us to well..er..slide. The ever daredevil Nica was first to go sliding down on the taller slide, face down and headfirst. I did it too but not in HER position, I was afraid I would tumble over and get stuck in the slide. Every time I slid down that slide, I always got the feeling like my gut was lifting up or something. But the thriller in me won't just go so I did it for several more times. A little later, a large group of guys came so we transferred to the other pool with the nice and long, but not-functioning slide. The girls and I played a game of tag. Dude try running in the water. And the boys were having their own sumthin. I think it was patagalan sa ilalim ng tubig. Jowett always won. They think he's a swimmer. I think he's a scuba diver. Or a muro-ami-er. We called him names like sea pig. We settled for sea cow though. DUGONG para mas mabaho. With nothing to do, Marion and Nica decided to climb up the slide. I followed them. I didn't push through though. I was at the middle, Nica was in front of me. And every time she slips, I do too, and so does Marion. And we all fall, or rather slide down. So I just gave up. A little later I saw Marion climbing down the stairs from the top of the slide. Yeah, she's good. She and Nica carried a bucketful of water up the stairs and into the slide. (It's hard to slide down without water y'know.) The operators saw them and finally agreed to turn on the water pump, naawa siguro. So they and the boys did the sliding thingy. They were so thrilled. I wasn't. I badly wanted to try the slide too but I was afraid of hurting myself (An accident reportedly occurred in that slide, resulting to an open fracture.) But after a hours (not really) of kulitan, I agreed to go for it. Yhon, don't forget the deal! So yeah, the slide started like normal but it went to a sudden curve and accelerated speed. Woah. I didn't even feel the "drops" coz it was so overwhelming. I was thrown out the mouth of the slide and landed face down. The others were all laughing and cheering. They had just spent 20 minutes convincing me to go down the slide and it was victory. Wahahaha. And of course I tried it again. I felt so accomplished, really. The last time I was there (four years ago), I just went up the stairs to the top of the slide but went down again. Chicken. Haha. Oh, I remember Nica calling me and Ate Lauren chicken when we were having doubts about going down the slide. Git. But no biggy, I did all the same. The group of guys came to OUR pool and hogged the slide. Hmpf. Bert, Denise and I listened to the guys trash talk (lotsa trash talking there) even though we can't fully understand what they're saying coz they're Masbateños. We decided to have our own translations or interpretations, and we had crazy ones. After some time, we decided to have lunch. (I was already starving at that time.) Most of us didn't bring lunch so we ate chips. I bought just one burger coz it was kkb. Turns out, it was "fight to survive." Kidding. We just shared the chips and left three packs for later. Then we all rested, I was kinda sleepy but I don't want to spend the rest of the outing sleeping. We went down the small stream. It was too slippery, Joeric and Jowet even slipped once or twice in to the cold water, so we all decided to go back. After having about half an hour of rest, we went back to swimming at the 3 (or 4ft, I really can't tell) pool, the one with the two slides. Once I slid down the small one when ate Lauren started climbing up the slide, she didn't see me apparently, and we ended up sliding down together. Good thing her knee didn't hit my head. It didn't hurt anyway so we just laughed it off. Nica slid down in a crouching position and hit her back on a guy's head. As expected, she was angry, and sulking, and blaming, and things but we just let her be. It's the guy's fault anyway, and he didn't say sorry! We then went to the other pool thinking that the group of guys were gone - but they're not. We didn't mind though, we just swam around and stuff. After a while, the girls decided to play again, this time Dr. Quack2. We only did five rounds coz it was too tiring to run away every time someone "unties" us. We saw that gray clouds were coming so we went back to our benches and placed our things to a something-with-a-roof just in case it rains. We also took our snacks there. We didn't think that the "cottage" was for free but we weren't charge anyway and wala namang sumita.
We did some more swimming after that. Then we decided to take showers so we can leave before it gets dark. It was hard dressing up in the shower room because there were no hooks to hang our clothes on. We still had some little chats before we left the resort. While walking to the kanto to make para the jeep [?!], we talked so little, the girls that is. Nica and the boys were telling stories I suppose. We had a hard time walking at the beginning since the ground was not level, it rises up and it was hard work to walk. We boarded a jeepney but did not go yet. We talked a little and stuff. Then the jeepney started on its route towards centro. It really ran so slow, I decided to have some senti moments but the konduktor made that impossible. He's quite young and really talkative and soooo makulit! He kept talking to our group and stuff. He makes so much panlalait. Grrr. He received a good punch from Ate Kamil when she got off the jeepney. Hah! Good for him. One by one, we left the jeepney to get to our own destinations. I was really glad that I was there. But like all good things, it came to an end.
Nakakasuya! Patalun kaya ak...si snatcher! -Joeric

REFLECTION: Playing Dr. Quack2 is like solving a Rubik's Cube. It has innumerable wrong twists and turns. (Oh ha?^___^)
